How to limit messages and comments on Instagram

Step 1: Open the Instagram app on your phone.

Step 1: Open the Instagram Settings (see screenshot in the first section).

Step 2: Choose the Privacy option and tap Hidden Words.

Step 3: Enable Hide Comments, Advanced Comments Filter, and Hide Message Requests.

After enabling the options, Instagram will hide comments and message requests with offensive words in the hidden folder. The company will also filter the notifications of these messages. You can always review and view those comments and review messages.

Create custom words and phrases to hide on Instagram

Instagram may not limit offensive words in your native language. However, you can create a custom list with words and phrases to limit messages.

Step 2: Scroll down to the Custom Words and Phrases menu.

Step 3: Tap the Manage list.
