The fact that you have dark elbows is the result of neglecting them over the years: the skin of the elbows is very thick and dead cells keep accumulating on its surface, and the situation is then aggravated by friction and the fact that we lean on our elbows. This part of the body is always “aggressed”, and because the skin is made to adapt, it hardens and becomes dark to resist. Moreover, the elbows have creases that favor darkening, as do the knees.

How to get rid of the black appearance of the elbows?

Use coconut oil. This is a very good remedy for whitening the skin in the elbow area. At the same time, it hydrates deeply, which is very useful because there are no sebaceous glands in that area. After you bathe, apply a layer of coconut oil on your elbows and gently massage for 2 minutes, until it penetrates the skin. Apply the remedy 2-3 times a day.

And lemon is a remedy for black elbows. Apply the lemon juice on the elbows, massage gently and let it act for about 20 minutes, then rinse with warm water. Repeat the procedure three times a day.

A scrub made of sugar could be useful to lighten the skin of the elbows by a few tones. Mix equal amounts of sugar and olive oil to form a homogeneous paste, then apply it to the elbows and massage with circular movements for about 5 minutes. Then wash the area with soap.
