The augmented reality game Pokemon GO has attracted many users since its release in 2016, and developers periodically release new features and improvements to the game.
The latest game update (Version 0.265.0) provides bug fixes and certain improvements for compatible mobile devices.
According to developer Niantic’s patch notes, it also brings new events like Carnival of Colors, Let’s GO, and more.
Another addition is the ability to invite more than five friends to a raid, which makes it more convenient to complete raids on a higher difficulty level.
There was a limit on the number of “trainers” that could join a remote Raid Battle, and that limit also applied to invited friends, but the game only allowed trainers to invite up to five friends to a raid lobby.
But sometimes players may need to invite more than five friends to quickly finish higher level raids like Mega and Elite Raids.
The latest update fulfills this need and brings the ability to invite more than five friends to a raid.
And while you can invite up to 5 friends at once, you can add more friends to the same raid lobby after a short 30-second cooldown.
How to invite more than five friends to a raid in Pokemon GO
Launch Pokemon GO and join the raid lobby with a Raid Pass or Remote Raid Pass.
Click the Invite Friends button on the right side of the page.
Send an invite to five of your friends and confirm it.
Watch the attack lobby timer and wait for 30 seconds to expire.
Send more invitations by reopening the invitation list.
If there is still time in the hallway, this can be done as many times as needed.
Once invitations are accepted by your invited friends, they can join the raid lobby.
It is important to note that the raid battle will still be open to invited players even if you decide to leave the lobby.
However, if you are the only trainer in a raided lobby and leave before someone else joins, no invited user will be able to join the lobby using your invite.
