The Tiktoker claims that instead of taking a selfie with the camera, she takes a screenshot of the screen and, according to her, the result is significantly better, especially when it comes to lighting. It is somewhat strange when the same camera is responsible for both the photo and the image on the display.
The video has already collected over 470,000 likes and 800 comments, mostly in agreement. If we ignore the comments about how this gimmick didn’t save their lives, from the slightly more technical ones, people here more or less agreed that Apple uses a different post-processing when displaying the preview on the display and saving the photo in memory, which in their opinion makes the photos worse. According to them, this should be the reason why the quality of the screenshot (with a significantly lower resolution) is better.
