Recently, a social media account named Yoona Mei shared a story about toyota fast hers which overheats when used on vacation. In fact, the vehicle was just bought two months ago. So, if we are in the same condition, what should we do?
Previously, through her personal TikTok, Yoona admitted that she wanted to go on vacation by driving her own Veloz. However, in the middle of the trip, a notification appeared on the head unit asking him to stop temporarily.
“I was driving on the road as usual, suddenly a notification (notification) appeared. Auto panic, I was told to stop in a safe place and contact the dealer. The problem is the air conditioner is suddenly really hot,” Yoona said.

Thanks to these conditions, Yoona inevitably pulled over. He then contacted sales and towing for assistance. He also asked friends who he felt understood about car matters.
Yoona was surprised, how could her Veloz, which was only two months old, have overheated? In fact, the vehicle had just been serviced a few days earlier.
“How come the car can overheat? Even though this car was just purchased last May. It shouldn’t be possible. The radiator water is just full and it was only serviced last July 2,” he said.
The detikOto team has contacted the PT Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) technical team to request further information. However, they were still reluctant to talk. Meanwhile, another TAM representative admitted that he just wanted to check the viral case.
“I’ll try to check (the video) first, okay, I’ll let you know later,” said Dimas Aska as PT TAM’s Head of Media Relations to detikOto, Saturday (22/7).
What to Do when the Car Overheats
Disitat from the official website of Toyota Astra Motor (TAM), there are several things a driver can do when his car is overheating. First, according to the command like in the Veloz head unit, pull over to a safe place and turn off the engine immediately.
The next step, open the hood and check the condition of the water in the radiator. If it is monitored, it is one of the causes of the engine overheating.

Do not open the radiator cap immediately, but wait a few minutes because the engine is still very hot. If you open it immediately, you are worried that the water in the radiator will spray and cause injury.
If that’s the case, fill the radiator water again until it’s full. However, don’t go straight away. Check other parts such as the engine cooling system, starting from the physical condition of the radiator and lid, radiator water drain, to the hose connecting to the engine and reservoir.
Then, when the car is overheated, don’t force the road. Because, if forced, damaged components will likely be even more. In fact, there is a risk that the machine will completely jam and there is no way out except to dismount the machine which is draining costs.
Make sure the car is parked safely by installing a safety triangle and all passengers get out of the car. You can contact the Emergency Road Assistance (ERA) service which can help if you have problems on the road for 24 hours straight.
