Urinary tract infections occur when bacteria or viruses enter and develop in the urinary tract such as the bladder, urethra, and kidneys.
The characteristics of a urinary tract infection are pain or stinging and a burning sensation on the inside of the penis when urinating. Urine also tends to be cloudy or pink in color.
Here are some causes of urinary tract infections:
- sexual activity
- kidney stones
- prostate
- diabetes
- urinary catheter.
The solution to this problem is to consult a doctor. You will need certain medications to relieve pain during urination and prevent urinary tract infections.
3. Fungal infection
Fungal infections of the penis are caused by fungi Candida which thrives in the penis area. This infection is caused by sexual activity and the habit of rarely washing the penis or the surrounding area.
Symptoms of a yeast infection include:
- penis feels hot like burning and itching
- red and irritated penis
- the skin of the penis is moist, white, and there is a white fluid on the shaft.
Immediately consult a doctor if you experience some of the symptoms above to get further treatment. If left untreated, yeast infections can trigger inflammation and other health problems.
