Druddigon is a dragon type Pokémon and one of the last Pokémon da Gen 5 to be released on Pokémon Go.
It was released as part of the Spiral Dragon Descent event in December 2021, and to celebrate, several more dragon-type Pokémon appeared in the wild.
Druddigon doesn’t evolve, so you just need to capture one! Unless you want to get a shiny Druddigon, of course.
Below you will discover how to get Druddigon in Pokémon Go before the Spiral Dragon Descent event ends.
How to get Druddigon in the latest Pokémon Go event
Druddigon, the Cave Pokémon of the Gen 5, first appeared in Pokémon Go in December 2021.
You can find Druddigon along the Spiral Dragon Descent event using the following methods:
- Completing the Spiral Dragon Descent Collection Challenge
- In raids three-star
- Completing the research task – Win 3 raids
Thanks to the above methods, you’ll be able to find a Druddigon during this Pokémon Go event – even if it takes a while.
The best method for doing this is subjective, but we recommend completing the Collection Challenge for a guaranteed encounter with Druddigon. You’ll have to invest a lot of attention to just one Pokémon, but it will save time as you won’t have to spin PokéStops and it’s perfect for players who don’t like raiding.
If, however, you prefer to obtain Druddigon through three-star raids, remember that you have to win the raid first, and you’ll need some strong trainers to back you up; if you run out of Premier Balls, he will escape. If that happens, you’ll have to fight Druddigon again!
If field research tasks are more your style, remember that the tasks each PokéStop offers change daily, so it may take some time to find the right PokéStop. It’s worth checking if there are any Pokémon Go groups in your local area, as a member may already know which PokéStop to visit.
All of these methods will be unavailable when the Spiral Dragon Descent event ends in Sunday, December 12, at 8 pm (local time) . At the moment, we don’t know Druddigon’s spawn rate after this event ends, or if it will appear in the wild, so we recommend capturing this Pokémon before that happens.
