JawaPos.com-The more often the iPhone is used, the less storage capacity it has due to the large amount of data or files that need to be stored on the device.
When the phone capacity runs out, it will be difficult for iPhone users to install new apps or update iOS. Photos and videos are often the targets to delete to free up more storage space.
The iPhone, reported by Cnet on Monday (12/19), actually has two settings that can be used so that the storage capacity is maintained even if a lot of files or data are stored in the mobile. Either way, users don’t have to delete photos or videos to free up storage space.
1. Optimize photos and videos
If you have difficulty selecting photos and videos to delete or don’t want to delete the files, iPhone users can choose the photo and video enhancer feature to increase storage capacity without deleting photos and videos.
The trick, in Settings, select a photo and turn on the Optimize iPhone Storage checkbox. Before turning on the optimization tile, users need to enable the iCloud Photos settings.
Whenever you take photos and videos, they will be stored on your iPhone in full resolution. After you turn on the enhancer feature, your full-resolution photos and videos will be sent to iCloud.
Meanwhile, the device saves lower-resolution photos and videos so they don’t take up as much space as full-resolution files.
If you need a full resolution photo, the user can download the photo in the Photos application. Users may also consider purchasing additional capacity in iCloud.
2. Download applications that are rarely used
Using the download function, rarely used applications are not removed from the mobile phone. However, the application cannot be used even if it is still on the iPhone.
Visit Settings, then General to find the app download feature. After that, select iPhone Storage to see which applications consume the most capacity.
The iPhone’s default applications, such as the camera, obviously cannot be deleted. Touch the desired application, then select “download”.
When you want to use the affected application downloadusers can visit the App Library and then re-download the app.
