June 29, the feast of Saint Peter and Saint Paul, gives rise each year to a mass presided over by Pope Francis, with the traditional blessing of palliums intended for archbishops appointed during the past year, but which are now formally given to them by the apostolic nuncios in their respective dioceses.
This year, given the confinement still in progress, even if the rules have been relaxed, the mass will once again be held in limited numbers. About 90 faithful will be able to attend the celebration, held at the altar of the Chair of Saint-Pierre, as has been the case for all liturgical feasts since the start of the coronavirus pandemic.
The celebration will start at 9:30 am and will be followed in video and with comments in French, on three supports:
