They have nothing to do with the health authorities but could still give the Covid-19 vaccination campaign a big boost. Launched a few days ago, the independent platforms Quick My Dose and Covidlist aim to facilitate access to the vaccine. But each does it in a different way. Explanations.
All appointments available in one click
Vite Ma Dose was imagined by Guillaume Rozier, the computer engineer behind CovidTracker. The latter has been feeding a website for months following the evolution of the pandemic in France and around the world.
On April 1, it introduced the Quick My Dose tab, which makes it easy for eligible people to find a time slot to get vaccinated. To use this functionality, nothing could be simpler: all you have to do is indicate your department to see if any appointments are available. If this is the case, the user can then reserve his place on Doctolib, Ordoclic, Maiia or Keldoc.

The tool concentrates in fact all the niches registered on these four platforms. It is therefore advisable to refresh the web page regularly to consult the updated data. Please note, Vite Ma Dose is only intended for to people with priority in access to vaccination, that is to say those over 70 years old, 50-69 year olds suffering from co-morbidities and those with a high-risk pathology.
An SMS to take advantage of an unused dose
Unlike Covidlist, which can also be used by people who are not currently eligible. This website was launched on March 30 by Martin Daniel, Mathieu Ripert and Antoine Roux, two IT developers and a doctor from the Foch hospital in Suresnes (Hauts-de-Seine). The principle ? Connect vaccination volunteers with centers that have extra doses and don’t want to waste them.
This tool for regulating supply and demand solves the logistical problems linked to canceled reservations and the storage of vaccines. And this so that no dose is lost. Those interested can register on the Covidliste website. They only have to enter their name, date of birth, address, email and phone number. The platform guarantees secure processing of personal data.

Partner vaccination centers with excess doses may offer an appointment to a volunteer depending on their age, location and type of vaccine available. The selected users then receive an SMS to which they must reply “OK” to confirm their reservation. Then instructs the vaccination center to plan a new time slot for the injection of the second dose.
Thanks to Covidliste, the first two volunteers were vaccinated on April 3 in the 20th arrondissement of Paris. And more than 300,000 other people are waiting their turn. The volunteers behind the project are now working to forge partnerships with vaccination centers throughout France.
