“Operational low-emission zones in Nice and Toulon or how to exclude our working classes in the name of punitive ecology”!
Everywhere, in the big cities of France, the government wants the installation of ZFE (Operational Low Emission Zones), areas in which too polluting vehicles could not enter under penalty of sanctions.
However, the most polluting vehicles are vintage cars, used for the vast majority by the more modest. Thus, through punitive ecological measures, the government organizes the exclusion of the working classes from our big cities, condemned to stay away from city centers that will become places reserved for the rich.
In addition to the evident inefficiency of this provision, because the old vehicles will not disappear due to all this, it increases the fractures, shames those most in difficulty and increases the inequalities, albeit significant, between the city and the countryside. Convinced that ecology must be an incentive and not a punitive one, we will oppose with all the means at our disposal the settlement of these areas reserved for the privileged sources of discrimination, inequality and fractures in our country “, declares Franck ALLISIO, deputy of the Bouches-du-Rhône and president of the Rassemblement National Droite populaire et Indépendants group at the Regional Council of Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur.
