How to Enable Apps on the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5’s External Display with Good Lock

One of the biggest innovations of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 is undoubtedly the enlarged, folder-shaped external display, which is more than three times larger than its predecessor. Its functions have also been expanded, but it is still quite limited at the factory, fortunately with the program called Good Lock you can run almost anything on it.

The easiest way to launch apps on the external display of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is to enter the phone’s settings, select the “Labs” (Experimental functions) menu item, and then turn on the “Enable apps on the cover screen” option. This will allow you to launch Maps, Netflix and YouTube on the smaller screen, among others, but the list is quite limited.

For other apps to work on the cover screen, you need to install the a program called Good Lock from the Samsung Galaxy store. This is a tool that unlocks some functions of Galaxy phones with the help of modules that can be installed separately. It’s good for a lot of things, but unfortunately it’s not available in all countries.

If you have access to Good Lock, you need to install it from the Galaxy Store, then search for the “Multistar” module within Good Lock. Install it, then find the “Life Up” tab within it, and then enter the “I ♡ Galaxy Foldable” menu. Inside you will see “Launcher Widget”, tap on it and enable all the apps you want to use on the home screen.

It is important to note that this is still an experimental feature and some apps may not work properly or at all.
