One of the latest news from Spotify has been to bring back, again, the lyrics of the songs for everyone. This element is very appreciated by users and is now available again. Of course, to enjoy it, it is necessary to know how to do it, and that is what we explain today: how to see the lyrics of the songs you listen to on Spotify.
After many years of not being able to provide users with the lyrics of songs, Spotify launched this possibility some time ago. Initially reserved for premium users, it is now available to everyone. These can be used on all platforms, thus allowing us to sing or simply to know better what we are listening to.
Lyrics on Spotify on a smartphone (iOS and Android)
In the case of smartphones, Spotify has made the lyrics of the songs accessible in a specific area that everyone can use. It is not in the most used area, but rather in one dedicated to what we are listening to. So, to start, you must press the bottom bar (1), where the current music is displayed.
Here you have to scroll down the Spotify interface (2), to the area where the lyrics are displayed, probably in sync. These are visible in a dedicated box, which can be followed. This box can be enlarged to occupy the entire screen, by pressing the icon located on the right at the top of the box (3).
Sing along to songs you listen to on Spotify on desktop
Song lyrics are displayed on desktop in the same way as on the smartphone version of Spotify. Here, this concerns both the browser version and the Windows or macOS version. In these versions, it is even easier to access the lyrics, just click on an icon.
In this case, users simply have to look for the icon with the symbol of a microphone. This is located in the lower right area, near the volume bar and other options to access the list of songs played or upcoming on Spotify. By pressing there (1), the lyrics of the song currently playing will be displayed in the center (2), and this area can be enlarged or reduced in size.
Now that the lyrics are available to all users, it’s time to explore this offer and get to know your favorite songs better. Spotify’s offer is very complete and, in most cases, is synchronized, advancing as the artists sing and play their works. So there are no more excuses for singing the wrong lyrics or simply “from memory”.
