How to duplicate your phone?

Have you just bought yourself a new smartphone and would like to duplicate the content of the old device on the new one? It is an excellent idea ! But you can only apply it if you use suitable software like Phone Clone. Although initially intended for Huawei brand smartphones, this application can be installed on any Android or iOS device. Thanks to it, you can easily clone or duplicate your phone in a few moments. Here’s how you need to go about getting there.

Step 1: Install Phone Clone on both old and new phone

To mirror your phone with the app Phone Clone, you must first install it on your two smartphones (the old and the new). To do this, go to the « Play Store ” Where ” Store from each device, then search for the app there. It should normally be at the top of the results.

If you have a limited connection, preferably connect to a Wi-Fi network to save your Internet plan. Once done, click on ” Installer as soon as you find it to begin the operation.

Step 2: Configure the old smartphone for cloning

After installing Phone Clone, you need to set up content clone software on both old and new Android phone. But beware ! the configuration of the two devices is done in a different way. If the old Android must be configured as the original phone of the content to be duplicated, the new one must be configured as the destination device for this data.

• To start the settings, open the app Phone Clone on the old device. Then, select from the options offered to you ” This is the original phone».

• And a pop up relating to the location service appears, click on “ Settingsto activate it on your Android phone. This feature is required for data exchange between the two smart devices.

• To activate the localization, simply toggle the switch which is at the level of the functionality ” Use my location“, to the right. As soon as it’s done, click on the back button on your smartphone to return to the application Phone Clone.

• Back in the app, you’ll need to grant the software access to many other phone programs, including Contacts, Agenda, Phone, Gallery, Position, SMS. Without this prior agreement, Phone Clone will not be able to access the content to be duplicated or transfer it to your new Android. So feel free to grant it all the access it needs to duplicate your phone.

Step 3: Configure the new smartphone for cloning

Once the second step is completed, the software will automatically launch the scanner of Code QR. If applicable, open the app Phone Clone on the new device and configure it as follows.

• Click on ” This is the destination phone ».

• Then choose the system of your device. Is it an Android, iPhone or another iOS device? Specify it by selecting the appropriate system from the list offered to you.

• As soon as it is done, a QR Code will be displayed on the screen.

Step 4: Scan the QR Code

Use the old device to scan the Code QR which showed up on the new one. All you have to do is open Phone Clone on the device where the data to be duplicated is located, click on ” This is the destination phone » and scan the Code QR of the new phone.

Step 5: Select content to duplicate on the old device

Once this step is successful, Phone Clone will offer you to select the data you want to duplicate on your new Android device. Simply check the applications whose content is essential to you (Messages, Photos, Audio files, etc.) then complete the operation by clicking on the ” To transfer at the bottom of the screen.

Depending on the size of your data, transferring content between the old and new device can take a few minutes or a few hours. In addition, you should avoid leaving the application or performing other tasks in the meantime. To avoid any unexpected interruptions, it is best to duplicate your phone when you can do without it. For example, you can initiate the operation before going to bed.
