The show is on the street
Almost two years after the start of the pandemic and while New York has been hit hard by the covid, the city is (also) reborn through fashion. During this New York Fashion Week, held from February 11 to 16, where we discovered the Fall-Winter 2022-2023 collections (although some key designers, such as Tom Ford or Marc Jacobs, were among the absent), the plus an exciting show took place… On the asphalt! Indeed, walking the streets of Manhattan and Brooklyn, the photographers had something to eat in terms of street style.

Sparkling and audacious looks, dominated by ultra-effective trouser suits and, above all, we note the appearance of “statement” coats – such as the yellow and black zebra coat worn by the top Emily Ratajkowski. Everywhere we saw colorful coats lined up: vibrant tones, striking prints, worn with statement accessories. In other words: a mix of cool and strong which is the strong point of fashion in the American megalopolis. It must be said that New York has always been a pioneer in terms of street look: it is there that photographer Bill Cunningham has immortalized the most chic and atypical passers-by since the 1970s – he passed away in 2016, the American remains a point of reference in the fashion industry.
