You may already be familiar with Hibernate mode, if selected at shutdown, your computer’s current state (including all running applications, open windows, and temporary settings) is saved in RAM and your computer enters Power Saver mode.
If you’re using a laptop, there’s still a little battery drain to save RAM, but the entire desktop is reset almost instantly when you wake it up.
The hibernation mode is similar, all the same system settings are saved in a file on the hard drive or SSD of the computer, which does not require power for maintenance, so the computer shuts down completely and when you restart the computer, all applications your windows are restored completely, but without the constant battery drain imposed by the “Sleep” mode.
The “hibernation” mode is also somewhat safer, as no power failure or complete battery drain will cause you to lose your work.
