Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – There is a way so that other people cannot send WhatsApp chats without having to block the number.
All you have to do is take advantage of the ‘Archive’ feature on WhatsApp. This feature can make incoming chats automatically archived or muted.
In other words, this feature makes it easy to hide individual and group chats from the chat list.
After the feature is activated, chat from certain contacts can be muted even if a new message arrives. All messages will still be archived and stored permanently.
In addition, users will also not get notifications or notifications when a new chat is sent. New notifications will appear when the username is mentioned and the message is replied to.
“Archives on WhatsApp make it possible to manage private messages and prioritize important chats. Chat archives will still be archived and muted, but you can still change them back,” wrote WhatsApp on its Twitter account, quoted on Wednesday (9/8/2023).
WhatsApp develops the ability of the archive feature from what was present before. Namely archived individual as well as group chat threads will go to the user’s account.
WhatsApp said the archive feature currently has more control over incoming contacts. If you want to use this feature, first enter the Chat menu and then access the Keep Chat Archived option.
