How to Disable Stickers Window in iOS 17: Step-by-Step Instructions

Many years ago, in iOS 13, Apple introduced Memoji – animated “heads” with support for a depth sensor and two Face ID cameras on top-end iPhones. To ensure that no one misses this fact, the company has added a large announcement window to the Emoji keyboard.

Some iPhone users, including me, got tired of this window very quickly. It moved frequently used emojis out of their usual place and got confusing every time. If you hide it with a double tap, it still returns after a while.

Disabling this “reminder” turned out to be easy, although not very obvious. After a while everyone forgot about it. You know who hasn’t forgotten? That’s right – Apple.

Now everyone who has updated to iOS 17 sees a similar window in the Emoji keyboard, but about a different feature – “Stickers”. The feature itself is cool, we have already written how to use it. But not everyone will need it. I haven’t made a single sticker this way yet and I don’t plan to.

Since complaints come to me and are multiplying on the Internet in general, I am posting here short instructions on how to disable the “suggestion” Stickers in emoji.

How to turn off the Stickers window in iOS

1. Opening SettingsBasicKeyboard.

2. Scroll to the very bottom of the list of options and turn off the item Stickers.

All. If you want the stickers back, you can turn them on there.
