How to Disable Push Notifications on iPhone and iPad

Although push notifications are designed to keep you up to date, they can be annoying and distract you from everything you’re doing on your iPhone. Therefore, we provide below the steps to turn off or turn off push notifications on iPhone or iPad.

Disable Push Notifications on iPhone

Push notifications on iPhone and iPad appear as banners appearing at the top of the screen, whenever you receive a notification.

In general, push notifications on iOS devices can be categorized into two types: temporary and persistent.

  • Temporary: These types of push notifications appear momentarily at the top of the screen and then disappear after about 3-4 seconds.
  • Persistent: These types of push notifications stay on your screen and don’t go away until you interact with the notification.

Although push notifications can be useful, sometimes they can be very annoying, causing users to search for a way to turn off or turn off push notifications on iPhone.

To note: If you’re using the iPhone X, you’ll need to swipe down from the top right corner of your screen to launch Control Center.

2. Next, tap on the Do Not Disturb icon located in the control center (see image below)
