Many problems in Windows which was successfully resolved by entering certain commands in the Command Prompt. Through the Command Prompt, you can delete folders that cannot be deleted, the method is as follows:

  1. Before deleting a folder that cannot be deleted with the Command Prompt, you should know folder pathher first. For example, if the folder is on disk C and the folder name is Documents, then folder pathit is C:documents.

  2. Click ‘Windows + R’ to open the Run window, then type cmd and press ‘Enter’ or ‘OK’.

  3. Once Command Prompt opens, enter the command rmdir /s /q folder path. For example, rmdir /s /q C:dokumen. Then, press ‘Enter’. Make sure you enter folder path appropriate so that this process is not misdirected.

This method is quite easy, but not many people know it. How to delete a folder that cannot be deleted on a laptop is through force delete.

Via the key combination in keyboard, folders that cannot be deleted will be deleted if the problem is with the Recycle Bin on your laptop.

You can use the ‘Shift + Delete’ key combination if you want to delete the folder. After that, the folder will be deleted without going through the Recycle Bin first.

The last easy way to delete a folder that cannot be deleted is Safe Mode. You can enter Safe Mode from settings by:

  1. Open the ‘Settings’ menu via ‘Start’. After that, select ‘Update & Security’.

  2. On the left tab, select ‘Recovery’. Then, click ‘Restart now’ in the ‘Advanced Startup’ section.

  3. The device will do boot repeat. Next, select ‘Troubleshoot’ after entering WinRE mode. Then, click on ‘Advanced options’.

  4. Select ‘Startup Settings’ and click ‘Restart’.

  5. You will be taken to a page where you can choose between ‘Enable Safe Mode’ by pressing F4, ‘Enable Safe Mode with Networking’ by pressing F5, and ‘Enable Safe Mode with Command Prompt’ by pressing F6. Select one.

  6. Now you can do how to enter Safe Mode in Windows 10 according to the previous choice. Safe mode is indicated by the words ‘Safe Mode’ in the corner of the screen.

  7. Open the folder you want to delete, then delete the folder.

  8. After successfully deleted, restart your laptop again to enter normal mode.
