It is not at all strange that, after a time, you want to eliminate or hide some conversations that are no longer useful in your WhatsApp Or, even, outright, make a clean slate: leave your WhatsApp as when you installed it the first time. Thinking that the above situations could arise, the application that is owned by Facebook makes it possible for all your conversations to be deleted or archived in a single move. To do this, do the following:
- Open your WhatsApp and press the vertical three-point button that appears in the upper right corner of your screen.
- Once you have done it, you will be shown the menu with different options, there you must select “Settings“.
- Once inside the “Settings” section, click on “chats“, with which you can access this section.
- Within Settings, scroll down and select “Chat history“, which is the last of the options shown to you.
- When you open the Chat History, you will realize that there are the two options that concern us in this note. So that you can hide the chats in the “Archived” section you will have to click on “Archive all chats“and validate the action by clicking on” OK “. On the other hand, if you want to delete them, you only have to select”Delete all chats“and, as in the previous one, confirm the action by pressing” Delete “.
- Now, if you want to delete all the files sent in such conversations in the same way, click on “Delete files from chats“and, as with the others, validate your decision.

Before you decide to carry out any of the aforementioned options, you should bear in mind that while the archiving action is something that is reversible, that is, at any time you want you can make the conversations visible again; on the contrary, by deleting your chats you will be saying goodbye to them possibly forever if you have not backed them up in a full WhatsApp backup, so we invite you to reflect on this and, above all, give them a glance to verify that there is no important information on them.
