Does it also annoy you that every time you open the Snapchat app, the camera appears as the default screen? Well, that’s not the case anymore if you have a Snapchat Plus subscription. Snapchat+ users can now change their default home screen to any other tab, such as the Chats tab or the Spotlight tab. Moreover, the Snapchat Plus premium subscription also lets you change the app’s icon, see who has re-viewed your story, and tag certain friends as BFFs. Read on to learn how to change Snapchat’s default home screen tab.
Customize the default home tab on Snapchat
Although the Camera tab is actually useful as a default home tab because it allows you to directly take a snap and share it with your friends, many users only use the Snapchat app to chat with friends or consume content, so the Camera tab as a default home screen is useless to them.
To fix this problem, Snapchat has finally added the ability to change the home screen tab for Snapchat Plus users. Here’s how it works:
- Open the Snapchat app and tap your Bitmoji (or profile) icon in the top left.
- Tap here on the Snapchat+-Option available under the Snapscore tab.
- Now tap on the Home tab Option under Snapchat+ settings.
- From here, select the tab you want to set as your new home tab for Snapchat. In our case, we selected the Spotlight tab.
Now when we open the Snapchat app on our phone, it will open the Spotlight tab first and not the Snapchat Camera tab. Also, check out the other impressive features of the Snapchat+ subscription to learn everything you need to know about Snapchat Plus.
