How to Create Speaker Groups with Compatible Echo Devices

Alexa is a virtual assistant developed by Amazon that can perform various tasks and provide information using voice commands. Apart from its primary function of playing music and responding to voice commands, Alexa also allows users to create speaker groups with compatible Echo devices, using the music feature. Prerequisites: Make sure you have compatible Echo devices

Multiple echo devices support the multi-room music feature. This includes devices like the Echo, Echo Dot, Echo Plus, Echo Show, Echo Spot, and more.

Follow these steps to create speaker sets that are compatible with your Echo devices:1. Set up each Echo device on your Amazon account and connect it to your Wi-Fi network following the instructions provided.

2. Install the Alexa app on your smartphone.

3. Launch the Alexa app and sign in with your Amazon account.

4. Tap on the Devices icon located in the lower right corner of the Alexa app.

5. In the Devices tab, click on the “+” symbol in the upper right corner and select “Multiroom Music Setup”.

6. Choose the echo devices you want to include in the speaker group. You can select multiple devices by clicking on each of them.

7. Now, click on the Save button to create the speaker group. Alexa will then configure the selected devices to work together as a sync group.

8. To play audio on the speaker set, you can use voice commands.

9. For example, you can control the speaker volume by saying “Alexa, adjust the volume to (a certain level)”.
