Your Samsung mobile hides a function that allows you to create stickers to personalize your photos or use them in chats.
OneUI is one of the most comprehensive layers of customization that can be found in the Android landscape, loaded with functions and tools of all kinds. With OneUI 5, the latest version available, a very useful feature has been introduced, which allows you to create stickers from images using only the native gallery app.
Thanks to this function, it is possible to obtain stickers quickly and without the need to use third-party tools. These stickers can be used to personalize our photos before sharing them with other people.
Create stickers using only the gallery of your Samsung mobile
To be able to use this function, you must have a Samsung mobile updated to OneUI 5, since the sticker creation function was included in this version. Additionally, you must have the latest version of the Samsung Gallery app installed, available through the Samsung Galaxy Store.
If you meet both conditions, you can now start creating the stickers. To do this, you just need to follow these steps:
- Open the Gallery app on your Samsung mobile and open a photo.
- Tap the pencil icon in the bottom toolbar, then tap the smiley face icon in the bottom right.
- Next, tap “Stickers” and tap the Samsung gallery icon to choose the photo you want to create the sticker from.
- Select “Capture Shape” and slide your finger around the object or subject you want to turn into a sticker. When you’re done, tap “Next.”
- In the last step you can add a colored border around the sticker. When you’re done, tap “Done.”
The process is very simple and the results are excellent, comparable to those offered by applications dedicated to the same purpose. Moreover, all the stickers you have created will be saved in a gallery so that you can use them anytime to personalize your photos.
Unfortunately, there is still no way to export these types of stickers to other apps, such as WhatsApp or Telegram. However, if you have a Samsung mobile updated to OneUI 5.1, you can use the Samsung gallery to quickly remove the background from images and use them in other apps.
