How to Block Unknown Calls: Step-by-Step Guide for Android and iPhone Users

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Number blocking may be the only option for unknown and strange numbers. So it will stop those cell phone numbers from calling us again.

All cell phones have a setting to block strange numbers. However, you can also use a third-party application called GetContact to block numbers.

This application is famous for finding information or identifying unknown numbers. We just need to enter the cell phone number in it and the contact name information saved by other people on that number will come out.

GetContact also has a feature to block foreign numbers. You can install it both on the Play Store and the App Store.

1. Install the application on your cellphone

2. When you are ready, submit the application

3. Click into the Settings menu

4. Select the Spam Settings option

5. Choose to receive a warning that the phone number is calling spam or block all spam calls

In addition to GetContact, you can also block directly through the settings on your mobile phone. This option is available for Android and iPhone cell phone users.

1. Open the Phone application

2. Select Recents tab

3. Look for foreign or strange numbers you want to block

4. Press and hold the cell phone number

5. Click on the Block/report Spam option

iPhone

1. Open the Phone menu

2. Click on the recent calls menu

3. Search for the number you want to block

4. Click on the round icon with the letter ‘i’ next to the unknown number

5. Click on the Block this Caller option

6. The cell phone number can no longer contact you
