Smartphone is one of those devices that is easily lost, stolen, or damaged. In fact, replacing hardware or something simple can make existing information on a smartphone, such as photos, recordings, documents, or stored application data, will be lost forever.
For users iPhone, backing up data is something that is very easy. IPhone users have two main options for backing up their data, saving it to a computer or to iCloud.

Here’s how to back up your phone to your computer:
1. Connect iPhone to Mac. If your computer is running MacOS 10.14 Mojave or an earlier system, you’ll need to open iTunes to access it. If your computer has MacOS 10.15 or later, you can find iPhone in Finder (at the bottom of the screen).
2. If a message asks for your device passcode or to Trust This Computer on your phone or computer, follow the steps on the screen. (Apple has support resources in case you forgot your passcode)
3. Find your device on the computer (if it doesn’t appear automatically, use these instructions to find it.
4. If you have sensitive information of any kind, especially financial or health information, it’s best to encrypt your backups for security. (If you don’t want to encrypt your information, skip that step)
5. If you don’t choose to encrypt the backup, iPhone will update your apps and OS before transferring the content.
6. Click Back Up Now and wait for the contents to transfer.
Windows users must use Apple’s iTunes software to back up their iPhone. Click your iPhone in the iTunes window, and click Summary. Then click Back Up Now, and you will have the option to encrypt your backup.
You can also back up iPhone wirelessly using an iCloud account. Here’s how:
1. Connect your device to a WiFi network.
2. In System Preferences, tap the option with your name at the top of the screen.
3. Click iCloud, then iCloud Backup.
4. Click Back Up Now.
In the official page, Apple recommends that you check the available space in iCloud for backup. When you sign in to iCloud, you get 5GB of iCloud storage for free.
“If you need more iCloud storage, you can buy more from your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac. Packages start at 50GB for US $ 0.99 a month,” said Apple.
