Data from the National Institute of Statistics show that in addition to rising food and non-food prices and services, the highest rate of increase is when we talk about electricity. Thus, an ordinary consumer now pays almost 25 lei more for every 100 lei billed.
What is worrying is that these increases will continue, ANRE Vice President Zoltan Nagy-Bege recently stated that he estimates that they will be felt by the vast majority of consumers in the first days of 2022. How can you avoid these changes? A long-term solution is the installation of photovoltaic panels, which ensure lower energy bills from the beginning and a sustainable and clean way to produce energy for a greener environment.
The benefits of photovoltaic panels
Photovoltaic panel systems contribute to reducing or even completely eliminating the costs of electricity bills, whether we are talking about a household or an industrial consumer. In addition to energy independence, they can become prosumers (small energy producers who can deliver the surplus to the national grid) and benefit from significant state subsidies through dedicated programs run by the Ministry of Environment or the Environment Fund Administration.
The installation of photovoltaic systems generates not only long-term savings, but also a return on investment in a very short time. According to the energy tariffs now in force, a correctly sized photovoltaic system will pay for itself in 5 years, especially considering that it starts producing energy immediately.
Photovoltaic panels are installed quickly by teams of professionals, the systems being dimensioned correctly for annual energy consumption. Even heating the house with energy-efficient heat pumps can be achieved with the help of renewable energy systems.
Once installed, a photovoltaic panel system requires minimal maintenance. It will provide electricity in a safe and clean way, with a lifespan of 25-40 years. Moreover, photovoltaic panels can be guaranteed for up to 25 years. Due to this long lifespan, photovoltaic systems are a transferable benefit, so homes can be sold, bequeathed or contribute to obtaining a higher energy certificate. Quantitative compensation – great news for prosumers
According to the draft ordinance, which seeks to set out a set of common rules for the internal market in electricity, aligned with European directives, prosumers could benefit from quantitative compensation. This measure assumes that suppliers will bill prosumers with installations up to 200 kW only the difference between what they consume and what they deliver on the network.
If they deliver more energy to the grid than they consumed, then the difference can be compensated quantitatively within 24 months. Thus, if consumers produce excess energy during the summer, they will be able to consume it during the winter. Once GEO 944 is adopted, prosumers will benefit from a quantitative compensation scheme valid until 2030.
Quantitative compensation will also be addressed to individuals and legal entities, especially small companies, its purpose being to reduce costs at the level of distribution networks.
