How to attend the Paris 2024 Olympic Games despite the disappointment?

To begin with, there will be a second phase of sales, this time with single tickets. To benefit from it, you will have to register between March 15 and April 20 if this had not been done for the first phase.

Again, it will not be possible to buy more than thirty tickets and the total is added with the tickets already purchased. For example, if you have already taken eighteen tickets thanks to the packs during the first phase, you will only be able to buy twelve single tickets. In this second phase, seven million tickets will be on sale, with prices starting at €24. Access will be by lottery: first come, first served. Once again, there is therefore a risk of many being disappointed…

Free access to certain events

If, however, you were not drawn again – we are sorry, you are definitely out of luck – you will have the possibility of obtaining tickets from the end of the year 2023 or the beginning of the year 2024. Places will be regularly offered on the official site, this time will be accessible without drawing lots. It will also be possible to resell tickets on a dedicated and official platform, to avoid fraud.

Prior to that date, starting in the fall of this year, the Organizing Committee will be selling tickets for the Paralympic Games. There will be 3.4 million, with first prizes at €15 (for 500,000 tickets) and half will be less than €50. For the moment, the process for accessing the purchasing platform has not been disclosed by the organizers.

Finally, there will be the possibility of attending certain competitions for free. This will be the case for running races, marathons, road cycling, triathlons, open water swimming and rowing in Paris, but also sailing in Marseilles, as well as surfing in Tahiti. If there will be spaces with paid tickets at the level of the departure and arrival areas, access, throughout the course, will be free.

For the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, tickets will be available when selling single tickets. For the opening ceremony on the Seine, only the low quays will be paying. The high platforms will be free, but you will still need to be in possession of a ticket to be able to access them.
