As the name implies, the GED exam is a test that adult students can take to earn a High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma.
As explained by the Queens Public Library, this exam is made up of 4 subjects, divided into separate tests. However, it is not mandatory that you present them at the same time.

How to apply for the GED exam and obtain your HSE diploma
The first thing you should do is create an account on the GED website. Click here to register with an email.
After you have your account, it’s time to choose how you want to take classes prior to the GED exam. You can do it in three ways:
- In-person classes (search here the local class that best fits your schedule)
- Online classes (you must purchase the program GED Livewhich is exclusively in English)
- interactive questions with GED Flash, which prepare you for the exam. However, it is also paid and is only in English.
Select the option that best suits you, based on your capabilities, schedules and needs.
