How times change – Ronaldo and Neville: it started out so romantic

It’s a scene from April 2004: Manchester United just beat Leicester City 1-0. Cristiano Ronaldo was voted man of the match. Since, firstly, he has long curly hair, he still looks slightly insecure in front of the camera, and secondly, English is more foreign to him than the language, the TV producers have put the co- actor Gary Neville. He answers interview questions confidently, with humor here and there, and lets his young teammate live with him, sometimes serving as an explanatory and, most importantly, congratulations.
