Theater fulfills an educational mission. That’s why the program regularly includes pieces that are part of the Abitur curriculum. School classes go to the theater. But theater also goes into schools. “Especially since the area of concert, dance and theater education was established at the Krefeld and Mönchengladbach Theaters, the exchange between school and theater has steadily strengthened. There are now tailor-made offers for all types of schools that go far beyond attending a play and/or concert with preliminary and follow-up discussions,” reports Philipp Peters, head of communications and marketing at the community theater.
