A story of a Bulgarian living there
The conflict in Ukraine has been going on for 10 days. Another night of fighting passed restlessly in Kyiv. This is what Krassimir Kostadinov said on the air of “Awake”.
“There were four air raids at night. “Yesterday there were strikes in a neighboring village, fortunately no one was killed, no residential building was hit,” he explained.
According to him, grocery stores are still open.
“They are loaded with basic necessities, but everything else is missing,” he said.
Kostadinov added that the only way out is to leave the Ukrainian railways, where people are being evacuated.
Another Bulgarian living in Ukraine, Assoc. Prof. Daniel Benatov, added that the situation in the western part of the country is calm. However, this is not the case in other parts of Ukraine.
“The easiest way to travel is by train. However, there are horrifying stories about how people in wheelchairs have not been put on board, “he added.
According to him, the promised money for Ukraine will not matter much if the country falls.
“There is hope that there are some hidden negotiations. This is our hope. “Not everything can be decided by rifle soldiers,” he said.
