SEEN FROM ELSEWHERE – For five years, 50,000 members of an online forum tirelessly searched for an unknown woman. A few days ago, they identified her: a waitress from Tenerife, whose life was about to change.

« I was wondering if you could help me with this photo. » This was the message sent by a young Croatian a few days ago, on LinkedIn, to Leticia Sardá, a 43-year-old waitress from Tenerife. The young man wanted to know if it was indeed an old photo of his face. “ Please help me solve this internet conundrum. », he concluded.
Surprised, Sardá responded without worrying too much: “ Yes, it’s me “. The young man also asked him for the original photo, which Sardá had actually kept. He sent her a message back by e-mail which clearly showed that Sardá did not understand the magnitude of the events to come: “ Are you well aware that 50,000 people are looking for you for five years ? ».
