The Ukrainian army uses a modernized “Vampire” version of the the Czech RM-70 rocket launcher systems at the forefront of the Donetsk region.
Some of the fiercest battles for control of the territory take place here between the armies of Russia and Ukraine.
The range of the system is 20 km. The RM-70 has 40 barrels and fires a 122mm rocket salvo.
It is integrated into the chassis of a powerful Tatra truck, which allows for greater mobility. The artillery waits for the coordinates of the target, moves, fires and retreats to a safe place.
With this missile system, the attacks of the Russian army were repeatedly repelled. According to the Ukrainians, shooting down Russian targets has become routine for them.
Soldiers also have a mascot: the Barman dog is always with them, even on the front line.
