A simulation created by Finnish researchers shows how the corona virus spreads in the air. An example in a shop shows how a sick person without a mouth guard spreads the virus in the air by coughing or sneezing.
The result is impressive. According to the simulation, the viruses can still be detected in the air after several minutes, even if the sick person has already left. The virus cloud can even spread over two supermarket aisles.
«If you have to go to a shop, go there as rarely as possible. Stay there as short as possible, »says Professor Ville Vuorinen from Aalto University in Finland. He therefore advises avoiding public spaces whenever possible.
