jpnn.com – Telegram will create a paid service to accommodate its customers who don’t want to be bothered by displaying advertisements.
Telegram CEO Pavel Durov announced subscription plans for a multi-member channel.
Telegram channels that have more than 1,000 users generally display ads.
With paid subscriptions, users who follow such channels will no longer see ads.
The feature is rumored to be rolling out in the near future, but it is not yet known how much the subscription will cost as Telegram is still working on the feature.
In addition to the subscription feature, Durov also mentioned that large channel owners will be able to turn off official advertisements for all users.
Telegram is currently still assessing the economic impact of the feature. (phonearena/ant/jpnn)
