American James Parrillo kidnapped a woman who was traveling alone in the United States. He held her by force for a year, but she managed to escape.

As specified, a 57-year-old man met his victim in New Mexico at a gas station in February 2022. He introduced himself as Brett Parker and asked for a ride to Arizona. The woman agreed. As a result, the couple began to live together, but a month after they met, Parrillo took away his cell phone, credit cards from his cohabitant and forbade her to leave the house.

Parrillo tried to follow the woman, but when he saw that the gas station door was closed, he quickly left. The police arrested the man. He is accused of kidnapping and illegal maintenance of a person.
