As for restarting your mobile phone, you may have encountered various jokes, especially on the account of the Android operating system. Apple phone users often tease “androids” for frequently mowing these devices and for poor memory management. For a while, Samsung phones even displayed a notification advising users to restart their device from time to time to keep things running smoothly. So most of us restart the iPhone only if there is a problem in the form of freezing or crashing the application. Restart can easily solve these problems without the need for professional intervention.
Anyway, the truth is that you should restart your iPhone from time to time without any major reason. Personally, until recently, I left the iPhone on for several long weeks or months because I was aware that iOS could manage RAM really well. When I started to feel some problems with the general performance of the device, I didn’t restart it anyway – I have an iPhone that doesn’t have to be restarted like Android. Lately, however, I restart the iPhone every time I notice that it is a bit slower than usual. After the restart, the apple phone will become faster for a long time, which can be recognized during general movement in the system, when loading applications, or in animations. After the restart, the cache is cleared and the operating memory is cleared.
On the other hand, restarting the iPhone does not have an extra large effect on battery life. Of course, the endurance is a bit better a bit after the restart, but as soon as you start the first few applications, you return to the old song. If you feel that an application is significantly squeezing the battery, just go to Settings -> Battery, where you can see the battery consumption below. To increase battery life, you can also disable automatic background updates and location services for applications that do not need these features at all. You can disable automatic background updates in Settings -> General -> Background Update, then deactivate location services in Settings -> Privacy -> Location Services.
Check battery consumption:
Disable background app updates:
Disable location services:
So how often should you restart your iPhone? In general, give priority to your feeling. If you find that your apple phone is running a little slower than usual, or if you are experiencing even the slightest performance issues, restart. In general, I would then recommend that you at least restart iPhone for it to work properly once a week. A restart can be done simply by turning it off and on again, or just go to Settings -> General, where you scroll down and tap Turn off. Then all you have to do is swipe your finger on the slider.
