‘Hello Noa, have you seen Van der Poel, what a character, isn’t it’, reads the beginning of the letter Lang received. ‘You don’t have that, do you, character. Van der Poel is a neat boy, neat hair, nice teeth, no tattoos on his neck and no big mouth like you. Take an example from him.’ Lang is compared in the letter to the man who became world cycling champion a few days ago.
But the anonymous letter writer is not yet done with the PSV attacker. ‘Are you awake yet, Noa, or are you still stinking in your bed. I am deeply ashamed that you play at my club PSV. It’s only a few months, then you get into a fight with Peter Bosz and he puts you out of the selection. Because you don’t have what Van der Poel does have. Character and balls, sucker.’

Lang will play his first league match as a PSV player on Saturday. The attacker came over from Club Brugge this summer. PSV starts the competition with a home match against FC Utrecht.
