The Day of Respect for Cultural Diversity, celebrated on October 12, was established as a national holiday in Argentina, with the aim of promoting historical reflection and intercultural dialogue. This year, the day was moved to be commemorated on Friday, October 13, generating a long weekend.
Waste collection and urban transport
Home waste collection will operate normally on Friday, while the service will not be provided on Saturday. Regarding Urban Passenger Transport, the frequency of the routes will be adjusted to that of Saturdays during both holidays, both Friday and Saturday.
Parking and special services
The Measured and Controlled Parking system will remain active on Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., while on Saturday it will be free in the enabled spaces, except for Sarmiento Park, where the established rate will continue to apply.
On the other hand, the San Jerónimo and San Vicente cemeteries will remain open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. during both days, allowing visits to those who want to come to remember their loved ones.
Closure of offices and vehicle inspection plants
The Vehicle Technical Inspection (ITV) plants will remain closed on Friday and Saturday, as will the 6 de Julio Palace, the Community Participation Centers (CPC) and other municipal offices, which will suspend service to the public during the two days. .
This service scheme is adapted to the holiday by the Municipality of Córdoba, allowing the continuity of certain essential services to be guaranteed, such as urban passenger transport and the waste collection service.
