In recent years, the prices of most collectibles have been rising. Of course, the market with veteran cars did not escape this current either, and some cars rose in price in a flash. The result of the auction at the exhibition center in Lysá nad Labem is proof of this.

There were a number of interesting machines to see, but the imaginary queen was practically the new Škoda 100 from 1974 in the DeLuxe version. An interesting piece of car, which was initially sold to Sweden, therefore had very above-standard equipment.

He went to the auction with a mileage of 1605 kilometers, complete documentation and in its original condition, in addition in an unconventional bright green color. Therefore, a big fight of candidates was expected. The result of the auction was even more shocking than expected in the end. The car was eventually sold for 1,850,000 crowns, while the starting price was set at 350,000 crowns.

For a long time, three serious people fought for the car. The auction then clearly proved that in the Czech Republic there is a growing interest in the original cars, with which their owners nostalgically remember their childhood.

In general, the Škoda 100 and the virtually identical Škoda 110 are legends among cars produced in the Czech Republic. It was produced between 1969 and 1977 and a total of over one million pieces were sent to the world. The Škoda 100 was produced with a weaker engine with a capacity of 988 cubic centimeters and an output of 45 horsepower and in two equipment levels, the Standard and the just auctioned DeLuxe version.

Today, the Škoda 100 is a valuable collector’s item, and many enthusiasts have it at home in their home Mladá Boleslav and throughout the Czech Republic. Some decided to keep the car in its original condition, but others began to improve their cars themselves, creating other interesting pieces.
