According to figures from the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, in the period 2019-23 the USA exported the most war material worldwide (42 percent), followed by France and Russia with 11% each, China 5.8%, Germany 5.6%, Italy 4.3%, and Great Britain 3.7%. With 0.5%, Switzerland ranks 15th with its war material exports.
A new UN report shows that 117 million people are currently on the run worldwide. Many of these women, men and children had to flee as a result of wars.
