Minister of BUMN Erick Thohir has been officially elected as Chairman PSSI. He was elected as Ketum PSSI after getting 64 votes at the 2023 PSSI Extraordinary Congress.

In fact, until now there has been no detail related to PSSI’s financial data, even detailed data on salaries of employees or employees, income and expenses of the Indonesian football parent are internal.
However, a few years ago, when Gusti Randa served as the Acting Chairperson (Plt) of the PSSI General Chair, he emphasized that the PSSI Executive Committee, also known as the Exco PSSI (including the Ketum) did not receive a penny of salary.
“Just so you know, you don’t get paid to take care of PSSI. So the PSSI Exco doesn’t get paid. The staff at the office here are the ones who get paid. But Exco doesn’t get paid,” Gusti said in mid-2019.
Even at that time, Gusti bluntly said that being a PSSI administrator was a loss. Gusti, whose name rose to fame through the role of Samsul Bahri in the Siti Nurbaya soap opera in the early 1990s, admits that he lost a lot by becoming a PSSI administrator.
Apart from taking up a lot of time, in fact he and the PSSI management did not receive a salary as many people expected.
That way, referring to Gusti Randa’s statement at the time, as the new chairman of PSSI, Erick Thohir does not receive a salary in any form from the Indonesian football association.
