Uncertainty continues over the increase in the minimum wage for 2024, since neither the labor confederations, nor the employers, nor the National Government have agreed on what percentage of the adjustment will be for this amount.
So far, the only official proposal that has been presented at the negotiation tables has been that of the workers, who ask for an 18% increase in the minimum wage, something that businessmen and industrialists considered a disproportionate figure.
It is worth highlighting that the parties have until Saturday, December 30 to agree on the increase in the minimum wage; Otherwise, this will be established via decree.
Although the discussions about increasing the minimum wage are of great importance, time has shown that establishing an increase in the minimum wage by agreement has not been a simple task. These are the changes that the minimum wage has had since 2000 in each government:

Government of Gustavo Petro
Last year, in the first months of the Petro Government, the minimum wage had the largest increase in its history: (16%), remaining at $1,160,000 without transportation subsidy. It must be taken into account that if an agreement is not reached, it is very likely that the salary will rise between 12 and 13% by 2024.
