The new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class can also be ordered in Romania. It is the last Mercedes available with a V12 engine.
Mercedes-Maybach with V12 engine was discreetly presented. Most likely, Mercedes tried to avoid the anger of environmentalists in the midst of a downsizing and electrification campaign.
The model arrives now and in Romania. The luxury limousine has a starting price of 177,990 euros. It is the amount passed next to the Mercedes-Maybach S 580 version. It has a 4.0-liter V8 engine with micro-hybrid technology. The engine develops 503 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque. With the help of the Boost function, it receives an additional 20 horsepower and 200 Nm. A nine-speed automatic transmission and a 4MATIC all-wheel drive system send resources to both axles.
It takes 4.8 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h.
The top of the range is the Mercedes-Maybach with motor V12, which comes with the code S 680. It is powered by a 6.0-liter twin-turbo unit, which develops 612 horsepower and a maximum torque of 900 Nm.
There are figures that make the limousine over 2.3 tons accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in just 4.5 seconds, a performance worthy of a supercar.
For this version, discussions start at 227,500 euros.

Mercedes-Maybach V12 is the last Mercedes with this engine. And AMG gave up this engine, with the disappearance of the sedan’s S65 performance.
