Due to the energy crisis, the prices of the bulging bag of meat and vegetables with sauce are rising to unimaginable levels: in Frankfurt am Main, a doner kebab in the “Tonbul Grill Kebab Haus” now costs ten euros!
On Facebook The owner Ugor Yumusakbas (40) justifies the three euro price increase with an intensification of the general conditions on the meat and raw materials market. IMAGE says: “Quality has its price. I don’t understand how you can offer a doner kebab for three euros”.
Other German cities are also raising prices for German-favorite fast food (in addition to currywurst and burgers). The reasons are the increase in the minimum wage and, as in the case of Ugor Yumusakbas’ snack bar, the increase in energy prices.

Berlin, where doner kebab was first sold in 1972, has long been considered the kebab hot spot in Germany. But the capital has since been replaced.
