For this reason, certain medical centers also see a higher number of patients seeking a diagnosis for their ailments.
Most of these patients experience symptoms such as general malaise, nasal congestion, cough and fever.

Among those affected are people of different ages, from minors who attend educational institutions, office workers who must stop attending their workplaces in person, and older adults.
Evelyn Espinoza, head of medical services at Segumedik, located on Orellana Avenue, explained that respiratory infections tend to increase due to climate change, due to lower temperatures than usual, and also due to family or social activities that occur with crowds of people.

At Segumedik, located on Orellana Avenue, several testing services are offered. There are options for COVID-19 detection with a rapid PCL test for $11, PCR for COVID-19 for $36, and there is also an influenza test for $10.

Interlab, which has several locations in the city, also offers tests, including antigen tests for $12 and RT-PCR tests for $34.20. These tests have delivery times ranging from 1 to 4 hours and from 12 to 16 hours.
