Currently, América is valued at 200 million dollars according to Forbes magazine, because although it is surpassed in squad value by the Monterrey clubs, the history and popularity of the Eagles raise its brand value.

The so-called Tigre Azcárraga was an ace for business and he demonstrated this with Club América, when on July 22 he bought the team for only 425 thousand pesos and began an arduous task to lead the club to be one of the greatest in Soccer Mexican, this despite the fact that Ázcarraga Milmo himself confessed not knowing anything about football.
Undoubtedly, Televisa was the cornerstone for Club América to gain prominence in Mexican Soccer, and in 1981 it was a clear example of them, since that year the Club América Eagles were officially born, forgetting the nickname of Millonetas or Canarios, as they were. known until then.
With the arrival of the Eagles, sporting success came in clusters to the Coapa club, writing the golden decade in the club’s history books and beginning to build the legend of Mexico’s most winning team.
The sporting success and brand building carried out by the Azcárragas has multiplied the low investment made by Emilio Azcárraga Jean’s father, multiplying it up to 90 times.
Azcárraga Milmo took advantage of an outstanding debt that the former owner of América had and offered him that with the sale of the team he would settle his debt, closing one of the most profitable deals for El Tigre.
