TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA – When born into the world, babies certainly have very sensitive skin and contain more water than adults.
Not only that, baby skin even 30 percent thinner than adult skin.
This is what makes mothers have to be more careful and thorough in caring for baby’s skin.

Then what is the doctor’s advice regarding how many times the baby should bathe and use lotion every day?
Dermatologist, dr. Arini Widodo, Sp.KK., said that newborns are generally bathed once a day.
“It’s better if the baby is bathed once a day if it’s a newborn, in general it’s enough once a day,” said dr. Arini, in the virtual launching of ‘Johnson’s Baby Skin 101 for our Milk+Rice Upgrade Launch’, Tuesday (2/11/2021).
As for giving baby lotion, he suggested that it be done shortly after bathing.
“And to be given lotion, preferably immediately after bathing,” said dr. Arini.
Giving this lotion is also generally done twice a day for newborns.
