How many medals has Spain won at the Paris Olympics? Updated ranking in the medal table

Spain is adding more and more medals at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games! The Spanish delegation has won two more medals this Thursday thanks to canoeing with the bronzes won by Joan Antoni Moreno and Diego Domínguez in the final of the C-2 500 and the K-4 500 formed by Saúl Craviotto, Carlos Arévalo, Marcus Cooper and Rodrigo Germade. Doing the math, Spain already has 13 confirmed medals with two golds, three silvers and eight bronzes, which guarantees it will enter the top-20 of the medal table.

The gold medal won by Álvaro Martín and María Pérez in the mixed marathon relay put Spain in the Top 20 of the medal table after winning its tenth medal at the Paris Games. With the gold medal won by Álvaro Martín and María Pérez, Spain has won its second gold medal at these Games after Diego Botín and Florian Trittel in the men’s 49er. In addition, on Wednesday, artistic swimming added another bronze to the successes of the Spanish delegation at these games.

However, the national delegation has three more medals guaranteed, although the material for these medals has yet to be confirmed: the one that will be brought by the boxer Ayoub Ghadfa, who this Wednesday has reached the final of the super heavyweights, the one for the men’s football team, in the final against France next Friday (6pm), and the one for the Spanish women’s water polo team, which will contest the final this Saturday 10th at 3:35pm.

Spain had not won a medal since Monday, with the silver in the 3×3 basketball tournament. On Sunday, the silver medal was added to the medal tally by Carlos Alcaraz, who lost the singles tennis final to Novak Djokovic; and the bronze won by the Spanish pair Sara Sorribes – Cristina Bucsa in the women’s tennis tournament, in the doubles category, after beating the Czechs Muchova and Noskova.

These medals must be added to those won by Fran Garrigós (bronze in judo), Álvaro Martín (bronze in the men’s 20km walk), María Pérez (silver in the women’s 20km walk), Diego Botin le Chever/Florian Trittel Paul (gold in 49er) Pau Echaniz (bronze in K1 canoe slalom) and Emmanuel Reyes Pla, bronze in the -92kg category of boxing. The objective remains the same: to surpass the 22 medals of Barcelona 92.
